Program Highlights
·Educators are required to have their first aid certification, personal references, criminal record check and child welfare check including the people 18 and above years old that stays in the home of the Educator.
·Educators must complete level 1 on Early Childhood Course.
·Educators are required to complete safety checks, program planning and menu planning forms.
·All day homes are pre-screened and monitored monthly.
·Educators are supported with their professional development.
.Backup care is offered when available.
Guidance & Discipline Policy
·Positive reinforcement and role modeling
·Clear consistent limits that respect the child’s age and development.
·NO physical punishment, verbal abuse, or emotional deprivation as per Alberta regulations.
Health And Safety
· Emergency contacts must be current and reachable.
· All educators maintain current First Aid/CPR.
.Medication is given only with written parental consent and must be in original containers.
