Guidance & Discipline Policy
-Positive reinforcement and role modeling
-Clear consistent limits that respect the child’s age and development.
-NO physical punishment, verbal abuse, or emotional deprivation as per Alberta regulations.
Health And Safety
-Emergency contacts must be current and reachable.
-All educators maintain current First Aid/CPR.
-Medication is given only with written parental consent and must be in original containers
Emergencies and Incident Reporting:
-Emergency evacuation procedures are practiced monthly.
-Parents will be notified of any incidents such as illness, injury, or behavioural concerns.
-Serious incident is reported to the agency and licensing authority immediately.

-Physical punishment
-Verbal abuse
-Emotional deprivation

Child Sick Policy:
To keep all children healthy and safe, please keep your child at home if they are sick.
A Child cannot attend if they have.
· Vomiting- must be symptoms free for 48 hours.
· Diarrhea- must be symptoms free for 48 hours.
· Fever over 38 °C /100.4 °F must be free 24 hours without medication.
· New or unexplained rash
· Persisting cough or breathing difficulty
· Any contagious illness (flu, strep, chicken pox, measles)
If your child becomes ill while in care, parents will be called to pick up the child as soon as possible.
